All clients are required to agree with these terms and conditions by answering the question below for the pet grooming appointment to proceed. To comply with the Data Protection Act & GDPR legislation we keep your data confidential, and it will not be shared with any third party.
Please inform us of any changes in your pet’s health or temperament or your personal details to allow us to continue to provide a service tailored to your pet’s needs prior to any appointment commencing.
YOUR PET’S HEALTH AND WELFARE
Whilst your pet is in our care its health and welfare are our primary concern. You can be rest assured that we will do our upmost to always protect your pet. Your animal will only ever be groomed according to its tolerance of the process. If your pet is fearful of any of the procedures employed during grooming, a workaround or alternative will be employed.
Occasionally during grooming a pre-existing condition may be discovered which you may not have been aware of. We will notify you of this so that you can seek veterinary advice. We always adopt strict safety measures and handling of equipment.
Although extremely unlikely, accidents can also happen during grooming. By agreeing to these terms and conditions you accept that there is a possibility of an accident (such as a cut, nick or graze happening) as dogs move around during grooms & some dogs aren’t desensitised to the grooming process.
In the event of an accident or serious medical issue arising during your pet’s groom you authorise Wessex Dog Grooming to seek emergency veterinary care. GROOMING FEEDBACK You will be given detailed feedback after every groom.
If you have any queries or need further clarification, please just ask us. If you are dissatisfied with any aspect of your pet’s groom, please let us know before you leave. We can correct any issues free of charge within a 24-hour period after your appointment.
Reasonable requests to alter the trim will be dealt with immediately at the end of the groom & changes noted for the next groom. We are more than happy to advise you about how best to care for your pet’s coat. MATTED DOGS We charge £10 per 30 minutes of clipping off a matted dog.
This is to ensure that our costs for sharpening our equipment is covered. It is a painful procedure for the dog to endure and we will only do this as a last resort for the welfare of your pet at your request. You can reasonably expect to pay more than the price quoted on our system for: • Matted, poorly maintained &/or overgrown coats • Pets which are difficult to manage or uncooperative during grooming • Overweight pets or oversized for the breed standard • Timid, anxious, or nervous pets, which require frequent breaks & may need special handling which takes extra time and expertise.
These costs more time, labour &/or product and costs are passed on to you. We will keep you up to date on the costs. If we are unable to complete a groom due to behavioural problems or aggression you will be charged 100% of the grooming appointment cost.
All costs are payable in full at the time you collect your pet. PHOTOGRAPHS Your pet may be photographed before, during or after its groom. Photographs may be used on the Wessex Dog Grooming website or other printed materials.
Please let us know if you prefer your pet not to be photographed. CANCELLING YOUR DOG’S APPOINTMENT We respectfully request 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel your pet’s appointment.
The slot can then be resold. NO-SHOWS & LATE CANCELLATIONS (Of less 48hrs notice) A fee of 100% of your quoted groom price will be charged for missed appointments and late cancellations. If you incur any of the above-mentioned fees. You must inform us prior to grooming if your dog has ever bitten or displayed aggression. Failure to disclose this information may result in refusal of further services.
If you are not satisfied with the groom please contact me with-in 24 hours, this can be corrected free of charge before the coat gets dirty. Please do not go to social media first this will be a breach of my terms and conditions
Sadly, we have had to implement these terms and conditions, due to no shows and loss of earnings. As a small business we really do value your custom and appreciate you trusting us with your pet. We endeavour to ensure that you and your pet leaves our premises satisfied.
